My Maddie

So this week was an awesome Thanksgiving week. We got to spend tons of time with both of Maddies grandparents since they were both off of work. It was so fun to see some of my family that we never get to see. Especially my brother who drove down the weekend before to see us.
I really don't know what people as talking about when they say that braxtin hix contractions don't hurt because mine sure do! I thought for sure that on Thanksgiving day we were going to have our baby, I was contracting every ten minutes (during thanksgiving dinner) not so fun and they were lasting forever and went on for 5 hours. But NOOO baby yet, which is a good thing because Eric gets 4 weeks off of work and since we have made it to today he will get Christmas off to be with us all day. I am sooooo excited. Last year he had to worked and it was not so fun for him.
It just seems like Maddie has grown up all of a sudden. I mean she's not a teenager or nothing but she sure has changed. She is starting to say full sentences. like I want more apple juice PEAZE. Though she hardly talks in front of people she isn't comfortable around ( A TAD SHY you could say). She's way more open about going to dad when she's tired and letting him rock her to sleep. She eats dinner way better then she used too, and she helps me pick up and throw things away. I am soooo grateful for my daughter, I love the sweet spirit she has brought into our home the last 2 years, and I know that she will make an amazing big sister.

I am ThankFUL

So we are home. We had a little vacation staying with my in laws, which was fun (and I don't think Maddie minded one little bit). I think me and Eric totally thought that this project was going to take ALOT less time then it really has, we estimated 2 days and it has ended up taking 2 weeks so far. Eric got the stove in, fire harth tiled, hall painted, disherwasher in, and wood floors sanded, stripped, sanded some more, and more and more and more, stained, polyurthened 3 times so they are DONE (YAY!) So some things down and now we got carpet, molding, and paint left. We are getting there slowly but shirly I am thinking realisticaly that this project may take tell January or longer. But thats okay because I know that once its done it will have all been worth it. I still can't get over how talented my huby is. He sure isn't afraid of home improvement projects and tonight me and my dad where tessing him that after this is all done Eric can have at least a year before I get anymore crazy ideas :) (just kidding I think we are done). Anways ENOUGH about our little project. I was thinking about the time year and what I am thankful for.......
1. MY HUBBY! I love him, I think he is amazing and amazes me more everyday that I am able to be with him.
2. MY little lady Ms. Maddie she is so funny, shy, and full of life. I just love her.
3. Both sets of our parents, they are both very supportive and helpful I think we would be lost with out them (and so would maddie SHE LOVES HER THREE GRANDMAS and her TWO BAPAS ).
4. MY SISTAS! I love them both so much I wish Lori was closer and I am SOO glad Erika is at least for one more year. O ya and my brother, I sure have missed him since has moved too!
5.The opportunity to be pregnant with a little boy.
6. our home
7. both of our jobs
8. my friends I think I would be bored out of my mind sometimes I love staying busy.
9. food (hahaha I had to put that because I would DIE without it)
10. my religion

Wood Sign

Okay this board looks like its black but its not, its dark blue with light tan vinyl on top. Its the same color as the shelf. I think my little guys room is looking more boyish.

Cupboard Door Sign

Okay so I finally finished this one, I put lil buckaroo with light brown vinyl. I also sprayed it with clear varnish spray paint, I think it turned out cute. I can't wait tell our lil buckaroo is here! I am getting so excited only 6 more weeks. :)

Wood Shelf

I got this shelf at a yard sale (yay for yardsales) and it cost $1, I just painted it dark blue to go with the room, and sanded it.

MS. Maddie

Autumn is here, which I personally am loving every minute of it, I was dying of heat in the summer so its kinda nice to have a cold breeze. Plus Maddie hates the sun and hates being hot! Everytime we get in the car and its hot, I get to here her say HOT and scream, so I think both of us are going to enjoy freezing this year. Right now are house is under renovation. My hubby is refinishing the wood floors in our family room, kitchen, hall, and entry way. WAY TO GO HUBBY! I really wish I could help, I hate not being able to help!!! We are also getting new carpet (YAY!) in all the bedrooms, and front room. We are also getting a new dishwasher, and new wood burning stove. So my house will be warm this year and my dishes clean (yay for that also). But my house kinda looks like an episode of hoarders with crap spread out everywhere and I have a feeling its only going to get worse before it gets better. But we are trying to squeeze getting all this done before our boy arives. I THINK WE ARE NUTS, and WISH US LUCK :)

More baby room decorations

Okay so I am kinda lost on how to decorate a BOYS room. Girls just seem soooo much easier, all the girly things you can do. So on this one I was going to just do B O Y for Boy, but then decided to do what our little mans initials are going to be BJL. I bought the frames at dollar tree and used scrap book paper that I already had that were the colors I am using in his room and topped it off with dark brown vinyl.

Christmas Wood Angel

I know that its not Christmas Season yet but I thought I might as well start my Christmas crafting since our little man is due right before. My friend cut this one out, we used thiner wire for the wings and halo and added pip berries to the halo. I don't have a tree topper that I can remember so might use this. We got the idea from A Touch of Sunshine on etsy.

thanksgiving sign

I got the idea for this craft at makeandtake.blogspot.com I buy the thin fake wood at Homedepot for around 3 dollars for a pretty big sheet, and just drew my own pattern (not perfect) but hey it works. Then I used dark red vinyl for the word give. Anways this one was fun, and I am ready for halloween to be over so I can put it up.

mummy & witch

So I made these at a girls night my sis in law had about a month ago. You can go to her blog and see more cute stuff. maryberryboutique.blogspot.com

more crafty goodness

Okay you got me this isn't a craft but isn't she cute! OOOO how I love my girl.
I made this for the Babies room, as you can tell by reading, his name is going to be BRENDEN. You can't really tell by the pic but its a cupboard door painted light blue with dark brown vinyl . I want to put more on this like "a child of God" or "Lil buckaroo" in light tan vinyl but I just can't decide what to overlay it with. HELP is appreciated if you have any good ideas.

I fixed this one, children is spelled right now. It was an easy fix too luckily or else it would have stayed messed up. All I did was pill the vinyl off very carefully and switch the r and the e and re stuck them. TADAA! YA FOR VINYL.

My sister from another mister or my awesome friend Jade just got a band saw and cut these out for us to paint. I think they are cute!

These were fun to make, I felt like I was in 1st grade all over again. I just modge podge tissue paper on the jars and black paper.

Some Had A Birthday!

Here are some Birthday pics from Maddie's birthday that she had recently. It was a great day and I am still in shock that my baby has moved on to the Two's. Eric baked the cake (he's good at baking cakes), and my sis in law helped me with decorating it. I think I eat more frosting then I acually used on the cake. haha. It was fun making the cake this year and I think I will attempt again next year. It was sure fun, and we are glad that our family could make it. I think Maddie had a good time, and actually got that it was her birthday and could open her own presents. O ya and she is already a professional four-wheeler rider just like her parents. :)

HaloWeen Crafts & MOre

Okay so I finally got my long lost buddy out ( my saw ) haha. I don't' know about other people but when I am pregnant EVERYTHING sounds hard and a pain. So I sorta crawled under a rock for a while, but this week I finally got back to doing what I enjoy, and that is crafting and painting, The 1. pic is of a quote I love. I saw this at my friends house and knew I had to make a sign like it. It says "The best inheritance parents can give to their children is to spend time with them every day." I love that. The 2. pic I got the idea from Allys Attic on etsy. The 3rd and 4Th pic makes me laugh, I got the idea from A Touch Of Sunshine on etsy. I showed Eric our "new guest" in our house today and he just says LOOKS POISONOUS. But I think he is the CUTEST spider I have ever seen, seeing how I don't like spiders.

i am alive!

I would like to say that I am ALIVE! haha. Its only been two months since my last post. GESH! I guess its been a combination of me being pregnant and just being lazy. So here is a prego pic finally of me, I think this was taken a couple weeks ago. We found out that there is a little man or gentlmen in the oven. I think we are both excited, especially since we are getting closer to meeting him. :)
My little lady is turning two shortly. I CAN'T believe my baby (who is NOT a baby anymore) is going to be two. Wow time sure flys by way to fast. I am so thankful for her. Some of things I am loving about her right now are: (yes there is a list) haha
1. Her smile
2. Her walk (watch out Project Runway my girl is going to blow all your walks out of the water)
3. Her LOVE (or OBSESSION) for Winnie the Pooh
4. Her fascination with planes, and the moon (can't decide whether she is going to be a pilot or an astronaut yet).
5. The way she says "TEEK TOO" (thank you)
6. I love that she loves to cuddle with me or at least 15 minutes every night prior to her bedtime.
7. When she says HI MOMMY, or HI DADDY (she says it at random times)
8. She folds her arms and says MOM, when I am cooking. (a sweet reminder to bless the food).
9. She is a good sleeper
10. How she goes down the slide on her belly face first. WATCH OUT!

Tea Anyone

Tea anyone? haha. Aren't these two the cutest! They are constantly cracking me up. I am so thankful that Eric is so amazing with Maddie. He is so patient and always playing with her (even if that means sitting on a really small chair and drinking from a purple cup). He is amazing! We sure do love our daddy.
So we get to find out what the muffin in the oven is on Tuesday! Ya finally (I tell you what if they could tell you when you are first prego then I would find out) its almost torture waiting 5 months.
We also got Maddie into a big girls bed. We got a cute furniture set and painted it all light purple. I love how her room turned out. I think me and Eric were both amazed at how well she did sleeping in it the first night we were both thinking, "she is going to stand up and fall out and break her neck". Lets just say Maddie slept fine, but on the other hand me and Eric didn't sleep a wink because we are worry warts!

What a great week we had on our family vacation. We invited Eric's parents to come along, and it made it so much more fun. (Plus Maddie LOVES them so me and Eric thought it would be easier with two extra hands to help). We stayed a couple of nights at motel with an indoor swimming pool and got to all go swimming, we also road the train Maddie learned to say CHOO CHOO and we all got to experiance some breath taking views, and eat some yummy food (which we all know is a good thing when you pregant). It was beautiful. Then the rest of the week we went to the lake with my parents. (I forgot to take pictures OPPS.)But we all had a blast Eric got up on the knee board a couple of times and road the jet ski. My Maddie is sure a Fish. You know how most girls are all wimpy and don't like cold water. My Maddie loves the water so it was fun to see her splashing around not even concerned. Then the rest of the week we relaxed together. It was such a great way to spend a our week.
Anways enough about that. Maddie is OFFICAL quit the pacifire/binki the last two days haven't even been bad I don't know what I was so worried about. She is a trooper and I am proud that she is getting so big all of sudden. She is going to make a great big sister.
The last bit of exciting news well at least for us, is we get to find out what we are having as in boy/girl in four weeks! I can not wait. I want to know so bad so we can start picking out a name and getting things all ready for our new addition.

Craft Stacker Blocks

Jade made some of these too. She did her for her daughters room and did dark brown vinyl with pink, off white, pink blocks. I think they turned out cute for the girls!

Crafting up some Milk

This is another crazy yard sale find that me and Jade found. We spent $2 on these old milk things and decided to fix them up a bit with some vinyl. We were going to put white paint on the inside but didn't think in the end that it would turn out so we kept them simple. We were thinking of adding some yellow daisy's on the inside just need to go buy some. :)

I Can Climb

Someone is getting alittle taller and is now able to climb on almost all the furniture in the house buy herself. She pulls out the benches and manages to get up on the kitchen table!!Nothing is safe. She stands on everything from the tolet (yes the tolet), the kitchen table, coffee tables, chairs, the piano bench. What am I going to do with this little lady...? (Buy the way please excuse the messy table with food, we are going on our vacation SOON! ahhh can't wait, and just getting things bought and ready :).

cookie jar

Last Friday me and my friend went yard saleing and I saw these cookies jars for only $1. So we bought two and fixed them up with some paint on the lids and vinyl. She fixed her jar up for her daughters room and put "this n that" in dark brown vinyl with a pink lid. Her daughters room is pink/brown colored so it turned out cute! I don't have a cookie jar so I fixed my jar just for that, cookies. Yum, now I just need to go make some......

Jewelry

So I have this very deer friend who is also very talented! She has taught me how make my own earings and matching braclets! This is soooo fun. Though I suck at taking pictures sorry for the blurryness. I will tell you that we use sterling silver wire and sterling silver earing hopes and braclet closures. So they look higher quality then they look in the picture (plus thats all I can wear). But it really isn't hard at all to make your own! So easy, and cheap if you order gemstone beads off ebay. I have 3 more orders of beads on there way!
