I got this idea from my younger sister Erika. She redid her old childhood jewelry box about 3 months ago. It turned out so cute. She used old clip on earrings for the handles! cute. Anyways I bought mine at a thrift store for $1.50, and I had the paint and the rest of the supplies on hand so this didn't cost hardly anything to redo. I just painted it pink, sanded the edges and for the drawer pulls since thy were missing. I got big savorski crystal beads and glued those on. Then me & Jade made the owls. I love how they tunred out. I think I might make some more owls fo Maddies room. :)

A home for my Jewelry

Me and my friend are into making jewelry. Just just say we have made quit a bit and it all ended up in the one bowel mixed together. This drove me insane every morning trying to find two matching earrings. It took for EVER. So my friend being smart as she is came up with this idea that she saw on pinterest. I put all my earrings dangling on the cup and 1st plate, and my bracelets on the next 2 plates. ORGANIZED=happiness

Welcome Mat

What we did to make this was we got Dollar Tree door mats, for one buck. Then we cut out contact paper to use as a stencil, vinyl would work too just more expensive. Then use transfer paper or glad press and s. to transfer your stencil. Then we just used black spray paint once our stencil was in place. We also made sure the outer edges we covered with plastic so the spray paint wouldn't get anywhere but the letters. Just a word of warning you do not want to but a million little words on these you would be going in sain trying to get them to all stick to the carpet. The vinyl or the contact paper of course doesn't stick well to carpet, so you have to play with it. My advise is use a one word phrase and make it big. :)
